Dr. Bhagat Suberi serves as the Head of the Department of Forest Science at the College of Natural Resources (CNR), Royal University of Bhutan. He holds a Ph.D. in Forestry and brings extensive expertise in forestry, climate change, and environmental science. With a strong academic and research foundation, Dr. Suberi focuses on sustainable forest management and climate adaptation finance, contributing significantly to Bhutan’s efforts in environmental sustainability.

Mr. Nythri Tshering
BSc in Forestry

Mr. Nythri Tshering is an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Forest Science at the College of Natural Resources, Royal University of Bhutan. He holds an M.Sc. in Forestry from the Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Botany and Life Sciences from Sherubtse College. Recognized for academic excellence through multiple King’s Certificates and the Honorary President’s Medal, he remains dedicated to contributing to evidence-based conservation and sustainable natural resource management.

Yonten Dorji (PhD)
MSc in Natural Resources Management

Dr. Yonten Dorji is a Scientist at the College of Natural Resources, Royal University of Bhutan specializing in forest dynamics, climate science, and conservation. He earned his PhD in Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology from the Göttingen University, Germany. He also holds an MSc in Climatology & Mountain Forestry from BOKU University, Vienna, Austria, and a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Botany from the University of Queensland, Australia.

Mr. Laxmi Sagar
MSc in Conservation Biology

Mr. Laxmi Sagar is an Associate Lecturer at the Department of Forest Science, College of Natural Resources, Royal University of Bhutan. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and a Master of Science in Conservation Biology by Research from the College of Natural Resources, as well as a Master of Science in Organic Agriculture and Agroecology from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), His research interests span freshwater ecology, forest ecology, and biodiversity conservation, with a particular focus on understanding ecological interactions and their implications for sustainable resource management in Bhutan.
